A beautiful invention in flashy colors to honor the great competition, held every year during the Paris Fair. The rose starts out pure yellow, softened with pink at the petal edges, then evolves as it blooms into crimson tones reminiscent of a sunset. We're a long way from the soft colors and shapes of old roses. But in our garden, we've always liked to combine old and new! Weren't old roses modern in their day?
