When we learned that Pierre Hermé had chosen one of our creations to bear his name, we were delighted. Indeed, his dessert creations, and macaroons in particular, earned him the title of World's Best Pastry Chef in 2016! Very sensitive to the taste and fragrance of roses, one of his oldest and most emblematic creations is called Ispahan, in which rose notes are major, combined with lychee. The christening took place in June 2015, during the "Journées de la rose" at Chaâlis Abbey in the Oise region, an exceptional setting for an exceptional man.
The shrub is adorned with large, refined double flowers in subtle shades of apricot and pink. They exude a delicious perfume combining floral and fruity notes, with a gourmand touch. But the elegance of its blossoms should not overshadow the great robustness of this rose.
