Rosa Chinensis Sanguinea, a rose from China

Also known as the Red Bengal rose, this bush rose is native to central China. This "wild" rose also goes by the name ofChina rose, with its large red flowers resembling beautiful rosehips.

The flowers are simple, 5-petaled and bright red. The stamen is golden yellow. Foliage is semi-evergreen, a lovely, shiny dark green. Its branches are almost inerminous (thornless).

Rosa Chinensis Sanguinea: abundant flowering and easy to grow

Rosa Chinensis Sanguinea is particularly appreciated for its abundant flowering: in warm climates, it blooms non-stop all year round! This floriferous rose has left its mark on the evolution of roses. Like Chinensis Mutabilis, with its pink and salmon hues, its flowers are constantly renewed on a light bush.

Sensitive to extreme cold, consider ridging the base of the branches if you live in colder regions. We also recommend light pruning.
The Red Bengal can grow to 120 to 150 cm in frost-free regions.
But be careful! Multiplication of this rose bush is difficult: quantities for sale are limited.
