One of the oldest in the collection. Probably a volunteer seedling from Damascus, grown in Holland, then in the nursery of Cels, one of the first rose collectors in Paris. A handsome shrub with gray-green foliage. Flowers in light, semi-double clusters, standing out well from the foliage, are soft pink, becoming lighter as they deflower.
