R. x damascena bifera
The real scent of rose, grown in Grasse
Spectacular rosehips abound on the arching branches of this robust shrub
How to choose between container and bare roots?
Healthy, light foliage grows on a spiny, warm reddish-brown wood. Its branches bend under a profusion of large, creamy-white, fairly simple flowers, which bloom in May-June along the entire length of the branches. Some flowers open in summer. Remove old branches regularly to encourage flowering. Can also be trained against a wall.
