Red fruit like little tomatoes, packed with vitamin C. The most beautiful of the rugosa varieties, a selection obtained before 1939. Embossed foliage much broader than the type. Large, single, crimson-red flowers, brightened by a bouquet of yellow stamens, precede huge orange-red fruits from late August. Pruned short, it forms a bush; pruned long, a shrub.
