The rose of 17th-century still-life paintings (already cultivated in 1596), the true "hundred-leaf" rose. Its large, very double flowers, full of soft pink, exude a powerful, sweet fragrance under the influence of heat. The flowers, grouped in clusters of 2 or 3 and borne on slender peduncles, bloom slowly in June. In the past, they were cultivated on the Côte d'Azur for their essence.
