A very pretty, compact shrub with attractive, glaucous-green foliage and few thorns. Its cherry buds open into very double, quartered, purplish-purple flowers, turning to parma as they open. It blends well with shades of pink or to create contrasts with yellows. Like all remontant hybrids, it likes rich soil.
