La Belle Alsacienne® 'Evelsac
Gewurtztraminer fragrance
A good rose for an open hedge
How to choose between container and bare roots?
For many years, thanks to its founder, André Ève old roses have maintained a special relationship with Touraine, successively naming: 'Château du Rivau'®, 'Jeanne de Chédigny'® and 'René Descartes'®. This approach continued on June 16, 2013, with the christening in Loches of the rose 'Agnès Sorel'®. The lady of beauty, favorite of Charles VII, whose features are known to us from a painting by Jean Fouquet, is buried in the collegiate church of Saint-Ours in Loches. The 'Agnès Sorel'® rose is a shrub of the rough rose family, characterized by the quality of its dark-green, embossed foliage, which is highly resistant to disease. From May to frost, it produces large, semi-double flowers in groups of 3 to 5, pure white with golden stamens and a bewitching fragrance. This thornless variety, as graceful as it is carefree, will find its place in a bed or a country hedge.
