The first attraction of this flexible shrub is its light-green, glossy foliage, which "breathes health" and makes it an excellent rose for a living hedge. Its single or semi-double flowers, around 5 cm in diameter, start out soft yellow, fading to creamy white, and are equally at home in a natural setting.

Rustic and elegant, it was spontaneously chosen by students at the Lycée horticole de Varzy (58) to pay tribute to an illustrious inhabitant of their verdant region, Romain Rolland, writer, musicologist and historian. A fine group project, finalized by the christening at the end of May 2019.
