You could call it the petunia rose by the color and appearance of its floraison. Its large, single fleurs of bright pink literally cover the rosebush.
It was christened in June 2022. The river Alzette runs through the town of Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg. Alisontia is the Latin origin of the name Alzette.
Mireille Steil and Paul Lefebvre, both jurors in international competitions, celebrated this Franco-Luxembourg christening. This christening is a fine symbol of the friendship that binds France and Luxembourg, like the river that runs through both territories.
