Bobbie James
One of the most vigorous lianas
Francis E. Lester will enhance your walls, fences and hedges.
How to choose between container and bare roots?
The Francis E. Lester rambler rose, reaching 5 meters in height, is much appreciated for its unique flowering in huge bunches. Its small, single, 5-petaled flowers are white, lightly powdered with pink at the edges. Although not a remontant plant, its long blooming season takes place in June-July, and gives off a peppery fragrance.
The yellow stamens of this rambler form pretty orange-red fruits after flowering, adding a decorative touch to the glossy green foliage.
Very easy to grow, this rambler is undemanding in terms of soil and exposure. For this reason, it's a favorite with budding gardeners, as is its glossy, disease-resistant foliage.
Like all rambler roses, Francis E. Lester is equally at home on a wall, fence or arch. You can also use it in a free-standing hedge, on which it will scatter its pretty pinkish-white flowers.
